Healing with Sound
What Is Sound Therapy and How Does It Work?
Sound-based vibration treatment, or sound therapy as it is more commonly known, is a powerful healing method of using vibrational frequency to heal the energetic and physical body.
When one listens to the healing tones of a singing bowl, the body relaxes, and the mind easily slips into a meditative state. Studies have shown that sound healing may have both vibrational and tactile effects, resulting in pain reduction for those with conditions like fibromyalgia and arthritis. Other studies delve into the concept of “binaural beats” and their calming effects on brainwaves.
Relaxation is the most common response to sound healing, but emotional release can also take place. Many people reach out after a sound healing session to express that they feel lighter, calmer, and experienced a good nights sleep for the first time in months!
